New Pricing, New Licence Agreement: Free upgrades, Free LE usage, ...

We are introducing a new licence agreement, and pricing scheme for
Sails Science software.
We will be reducing the up-front price of most Sails Science software.
Also, we will be introducing an (optional) Annual Support Fee. The
Annual Support Fee will give you some great benefits:
- free usage of the LE mould library,
- all upgrades released during the year,
- tech support.
Also, we will guarantee that we will have at least two upgrades per
year. The first new upgrade will be PlotMaker 1.9.5 due in March 2006.
PlotMaker 1.9.5 like SailMaker 1.9.5 is going to be a proper Mac OS X
program, and will not need to run in 'Classic Mode' anymore.
From now on, all new customers will be signed up under the new licence
agreement and pricing scheme. Also, existing customers getting
upgrades will have to re-join under the new licence.
If you are happy with your existing software, and don't want to change
to the new scheme, then you are free to stay on the old licence
agreement. But, staying on the old licence agreement you will miss out
on the benefits available from the new one.
This new scheme is good for you,
because new software is cheaper,
because upgrades are free (with the annual support fee),
and because using the LE mould library is free (with the annual support fee).
This new scheme is good for us, because the steadier income from annual
support fees can be used to hire more staff.
With more staff we can make more and better software, and that is good
for all of us.
